Horace Andy
One of the original roots reggae musicians, Horace Andy has been belting out gritty and rhythmical hits in Jamaica for over twenty years. His throaty voice has been showcased in classic tunes like "See a Man's Face (but you don't know his heart)" and "Skylarking," as well as some of Massive Attack's hits.
Appearing with Horace Andy will be two excellent up-and-coming Japanese reggae acts. Dry & Heavy shares their drummer with Audio Active (long championed in these pages) and lays down powerful grooves. Little Tempo, signed to the AVEX label, is one of the best pure dub bands ever to come out of Japan. Check out this three-pronged attack at Liquid Room on Feb. 27.
