Bauhaus

Ever wanted to live like Axle Rose, kicking back in a cozy, dimly-lit bar with a bottle of whiskey in your fist, listening to live bands kick out the 70s and 80s jams?

Then get your butt to Bau Haus. Open everyday from 8 pm, except Sunday and holidays, the place features great covers of the best bands ever (subjectively speaking, of course). We're talking Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, and occasionally a little Madonna to cleanse the palate.

The 30-minute shows are every hour from 9pm-12am, for a music charge Yen 1,800 (drinks not included). Sure, it's no fun paying, but this joint's damn cheap compared to a concert hall somewhere that wouldn't have the fries or pizza even if they did have the fully stocked bar.

Also: 'bottle keep' is reduced from Yen 9,000 to Yen 7,000 a quart every Monday and Tuesday. Loud, dark, and very Rock and Roll. Owner and lead vocalist/guitarist Kay Shinagawa's "Layla" will have you on your knees (if the tiny couch doesn't do it first).
